R&B/Soul Singer Kevin Ross Debuts New Song in Minneapolis; Announced As Support on Marsha Ambrosius’ NYLA Tour

Ross will join the NYLA tour beginning March 1st in St. Louis, MO and play select dates

[Chicago, IL – February 22, 2019] Last night, R&B/Soul singer and songwriter Kevin Ross played to a packed crowd at Uptown VFW in Minneapolis. Backed by an all-star guest band featuring Brandon Commodore, David Billingsley, Erik Yakk Yates, and Mychael Gabriel, fans braved over 9 inches of snow to experience Ross for a one-night only live engagement. Ross played a mix of medleys, mashups and fan favorites from his debut album The Awakening such as his top 15 billboard hit “Don’t Go”, “Be Great”, “Don’t Forget About Me” and the #1 single “Long Song Away”. For the first time ever, Ross debuted “Thing Called Love”, a brand new song that’s expected to be on his upcoming album Audacity.

The Minneapolis show was just a preview of what’s to come for Kevin Ross. You can catch him opening up for Grammy award-winner Marsha Ambrosius on her NYLA national tour. Ross is scheduled to perform on the following dates:

Kevin Ross is a multi-faceted singer, songwriter and producer who had quickly gone from performing once every three months to opening for R&B/Soul legend Maxwell five times a week.

Ross, who began his career as a songwriter, got his big break when he secured his first placement with Jamie Foxx after graduating from college. In 2012, the Washington, D.C. native signed a major recording deal with Motown Records and released his debut album, The Awakening, in 2017.
